Week 34 Day 1

well, we are finally 34 weeks and past the critical milestones in our baby's development. we are still trying to "cook" this baby as long as can - that is the medical term for not laboring - but we expect to deliver the baby in the next 3 weeks. anyone want to take any bets on the due date???

so, i have been in the hospital for a little over 7 weeks now and during this time, i have found a new respect for any woman who has ever had to bedrest. in addition, i have learned the following things about myself:
  • hospital food is horrible, so don't trust anyone who tells you different. also, when they say meatloaf, salisbury steak, or hamburger, it is all the same thing...
  • showering while sitting down is by far the laziest thing you can do in the bathroom, but maybe also the best.
  • mild ocd is not a bad thing and can actually help pass the time
  • collase rules

also, i may have broken a world record for staying in my pajamas for 2 months and i haven't worn a bra or real shoes in as long either...excellent.

on a side note, many thanks to all those who have called, sent letters, emails, care packages, and especially those who have stopped by to visit. it has been a difficult last couple months, and all your thoughts are much appreciated. i would have never have made it this far without you all.

I love that you have a blog! Congratulations on making it 34 weeks. I can't wait to meet him.

a blog. of course! why didn't I think of that? of course, since it's a baby blog, you might need to come up with some new term that could take the world by storm--maybe bblog, or bylog, or blogby, or blaby....

actually those are all terrible.

anyway, who would have thought it would be this long! whatever you're doing is working--keep it up and good luck.
