Illinois History

So the heatwave seems to have subsided... I took Logan for a stroll over to the bank. In the background in this picture, above the stroller, you can see the monument that marks Logan Square, named after John Logan.

This is John Logan:

John Logan was an American soldier and political leader. He served in the Mexican War and was a general in the Union Army in the American Civil War. He served the state of Illinois as a Senator and was an unsuccessful candidate for vice President of the United States.

This is Logan Davis:

He's a little baby who lives in Chicago. I may lack objectivity, but I think he's a lot cuter than John Logan.

...That's today in Illinois history.
