...or NST's as they call them. They strap a microphone to Arlene's belly and monitor the baby's heartbeat for about 1/2 an hour. They like to see that he's reactive. Heartrate goes up and down just so. Had one today and it was just as it should be.
We've become very knowledgeable about all of this stuff so when the doctor comes in I can "look at the strip" and point out where the accelerations are, see where the movements are, and note that there were no contractions.
Afterwards on the ride home I did a test to see how the baby reacts to the oldies station. Works pretty well, too.
That's about all that's going on around here.
