Logan made his first trip to Soldier Field today for the Gold Cup final.

After a shaky start he was happy to see the U.S. comeback to win.

On the way back home he stopped to consider his size compared to Buckingham fountain.

Happy Birthday

Yesterday, Logan was happy to wish me a happy birthday by playing the song in his birthday book again and again and again and again. I was shocked that the batteries didn't run out.

A special thanks to Saher and Eben for watching Lo while we dined.

After letting me sleep in this morning (thanks to Mom,) Logan came in and showed off his admiration for his favorite mid-twentieth century art movement and, well, me. (Again, with a little help from Mom.)
Later in the afternoon we went on a wagon ride to the park, where after playing with the drinking fountain for about 15 minutes, Lo realized there was a much larger, wetter version.

Logan's learning how to draw - or at least how to make marks.
He may be a lefty.
When he's had enough of that, he let's you know by climbing up and standing on top of his chair.

i also like to dance, but no one's been successful at capturing that so far...

hey, mr tambourine man

Logan is a quick study. Last night, Martin taught him how to put the tambourine over his head and he thought it was hilarious. It would appear that today, he continued the hilarity by wearing it around. As Logan would say..."wha? wha?"

As you can see, he took a little tumble and had an encounter with the book shelf, but everyone is fine, including the freaked out mommy...

Logan had his 1 year doctor appointment. Here are the stats:
24 lbs 5 oz
31 1/2 inches
19 inch head

We are happy to report his head has returned to the charts and is back in the 95%...with the rest of him.

Babies babies babies

Logan attended his first baby shower this weekend.
He can't wait until Saher and Eben have their baby so that he can cuddle him/her (and play with the baby's toys).
Mascis was there , rocking the leisure wear...cold kicking it.And of course, his girlfriend (one of them), Aria, was also there. But it looks like she may have found a new man...
but that's okay, because Logan was working all the ladies for attention.and this entry would not be complete if i didn't post a picture of the cake, the most insane cake ever. no folks, that is not a giant duck, it is a giant duck cake. mmmm, delicious!

Celebrate the Aging of the Davis Men

It's my birthday, I've got a birthday suit, and I'm gonna getcha.

Make that 2 birthday suits... Logan's mother has this nasty habit, which I indulged since she did so much work throwing a party for us.

It's 5 o'clock somewhere...

A whole slew of people here, young and old alike...

Logan ponders his carrot-cake-smashing future. "Why's mine so small?"

Lo was a little skeptical about being encouraged to destroy something. Maybe that takes some of the fun out of it.

He finally came around...
