so, now that i have a walking around pass, i have been cruising around my room, trying to get this party started. so far nothing, but i have a feeling it won't be until may anyway. it's good to get out of bed and walk around. i can't believe how long i have been laying around for and how much strength i have lost.
above is our ultrasound at 29 1/2 weeks, look at that face and those chubby cheeks!
for anyone who needs an update on the baby. at our last ultrasound, he weighed in at 5lbs 1oz, which is in the 75-90% range, so he is a big baby - thank you martin for your contribution of making big babies...he is probably somewhere over 6lbs now, but we will find out during our ultrasound next week. also, i was also diagnosed with gestational diabetes around week 29, so he is also expected to be a little chubby. he is an active little guy and kicks around a lot at night. right now, he's got the hiccups, which is really a crazy feeling.
on a totally unrelated note, my resident, who was 35 weeks pregnant, delivered her baby yesterday and ironically, is in the room next door to mine. apparently, her waters ruptured at 5 a.m. and she did rounds before she went to labor and delivery, because i saw her at her usual 6:30 a.m. rounds. wild, what people do when they are in labor.
